L-Theanine is a "feel good" supplement. It has been found to induce relaxation without causing sedation or drowsiness.
L-Theanine is a unique amino acid that is the active component of Green Tea which has been used medicinally in the orient to induce relaxation for more than 1000 years. It has not been shown to cause any adverse reactions.
Studies have shown that supplementing with L-Theanine increases alpha-brain waves, the brain waves associated with a relaxed feeling of well-being. It has also been shown to diminish normal symptoms of PMS, improve learning ability and memory and reduce the stimulatory effects of caffeine.
In addition, L-Theanine has been shown to significantly increase the effectiveness of chemotherapy treatments of cancer patients when used concurrently while at the same time reducing the severity of side effects.
